This series started out as the Schebler DLT1 (later renamed DLTX1) in 1926 on the John Deere D tractor. Single bore and two barrel models (duplex) were used until the 1960 model year on tractors. Universal replacement carburetors (DLTX107U, DLTX108U and DLTX109U) were introduced in 1968.
After 1982, some DLTX carburetors were manufactured by Zenith.
