We offer tech support for our products by email. Please note that we are not able to offer advice on carburetor selection other than for the carburetors that we sell on the website. We cannot help you diagnose engine troubles or offer advice on repairs.
The use of any kind of fuel additive - Sea Foam, Ethanol Defense, carb cleaners, fuel injection cleaners etc etc - voids the warranty on carburetor kits, parts and carburetors. Many of these additives contain solvents that directly damage carburetor parts such as accelerator pumps, fuel inlet valves and other rubber parts. Our parts and carburetors are compatible with normal pump gas containing ethanol but may be damaged by additives or other chemicals. Please don't use anything but gasoline in your carbureted fuel system!
Carburetor Doctor products are NOT FOR USE IN AIRCRAFT. Please refer to the Warranty Exculsions below.
Most orders are shipped within 1 business day of the order being received by us. Shipping times are not guaranteed. There are no refunds on shipping.
Unopened items may be returned for refund by regular mail to the address at the foot of this page within 60 days of purchase. Please be sure to include your name and order number, or a copy of the original packing slip. Shipping is not refundable. A restocking fee of 20% applies to non-warranty returns. Items that were shipped free will have actual shipping costs deducted from any refund.
If we ship a defective or incorrect item because of an error on our part (see Carburetor Number Policy below), we will gladly exchange it. Please contact us promptly by phone or email if there is an issue with your purchase.
Returns are not accepted under any circumstances for orders shipped outside of the USA.
The only way to be sure you are getting the correct kit is to look it up using the carburetor number. If we supply the wrong kit for the carburetor number we're given, we will replace it with the correct kit, at no charge, since that is our mistake. If we are given the wrong carburetor number and we send a kit for that carb number, you will have to re-order the correct kit based on that number.
Kits sold without a carb number, based on application, pictures, measurements or other information are subject to a restocking fee if returned. We are not liable for the cost of return shipping, the cost of shipping a replacement kit or anything else. Please see below for specific warranty terms.
The Carburetor Doctor warrants its mechanical products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the duration of 90 days from the date of the original purchase.
The Carburetor Doctor does not warrant mechanical products which are damaged as a result of improper installation or application. Improper installation and application includes, but is not limited to: (1) failing to follow or deviating from the installation instructions provided by The Carburetor Doctor; (2) modifying or altering the carburetor beyond factory specifications; (3) subjecting the product to adverse conditions, abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, collisions, dirt or other contaminants, water or corrosion, gum or varnish, use of improper or poor quality fuel or or any type of fuel additive(s), or faulty repair; and (4) improper adjustment, fire from a backfire, running without a quality air filter and fuel filter, or excessive fuel pressure. The Carburetor Doctor Inc. also does not warrant, and disclaims all liability for, products used for racing, or any non-automotive, marine, or aircraft application or purpose. If you are unclear whether a modification, alteration, or particular application or use may affect your warranty, please contact The Carburetor Doctor Inc. before proceeding.
THE CARBURETOR DOCTOR PROVIDES NO WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED OTHER THAN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. THE CARBURETOR DOCTOR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CARBURETOR DOCTOR OR ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, RELATED ENTITIES OR SUCCESSORS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, PRODUCTS OR SERVICES SOLD, WHETHER BASED IN WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. THE CARBURETOR DOCTOR’S MAXIMUM LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT. The Carburetor Doctor Inc. does not warranty whatsoever any accessories or parts supplied by other manufacturers. Any implied warranty determined to be applicable is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights.
