The Carter WGD is a two barrel downdraft carburetor produced from 1949 into the 1960s. It was first used on Oldsmobiles and Packards and appeared on various applications after that, as well as being sold over-the-counter as a service replacement carburetor for other two-barrel models.
The carburetor number on these was on a triangular tag attached to the top of the carb. Some earlier carbs also had a flange number on the face of the mounting flange that can be used to identify the carb.
