The Carter WCD was a two barrel carburetor produced by the Carter Carburetor Company from about 1941 to 1970. It was used on many different makes and models including American Motors, Buick, Cadillac, Chrysler products, Willys etc. The first uses were on Buick Compound Carburetion (dual carbs) in 1941 and then during the war on Cadillac tank engines.An interesting application was on DeSoto Hemi engines where a water heated throttle body was used.
