Carter WA-1s were used starting with the 1937 Packard on various makes into the 1960s. These had brass tags for identification. If the tag is missing, the carb can often be identified from a flange number.
Carter 413S and 414S universal carburetors
Many Carter WA-1s were sold as over-the-counter replacements for a variety of 1 barrel downdraft models. The aftermarket WA-1 came in two versions, the 413S with manual choke and the 414S with automatic choke. If the tag is missing, these can be identified by the casting number '223' on the face of the mounting flange. We have a new universal Zenith 28-type replacement for the 413S manual choke carburetor, part number Y200.
