How to Identify Rochester Carburetors: Finding the Carb Number

Rochester Quadrajet Carb Number Locations

Quadrajets built in 1968 or later have the carburetor number stamped on the driver's side above the secondary throttle shaft on the float bowl. From 1965 to 1967 the carb number was on an round aluminum 'bottle cap' on the left side of the float bowl near the front. This tag is often missing, making identification more difficult.
